Programme Overview

What the Generic BSN prepares you for

The BS Nursing (Generic) programme is a four-year undergraduate degree designed for students entering nursing directly after intermediate education, with no prior nursing diploma required. The curriculum combines foundational health sciences, nursing theory, and supervised clinical practice across major specialties, preparing graduates to sit the Pakistan Nursing & Midwifery Council (PNMC) licensing examination and practice as Registered Nurses (RN) in hospitals, community health settings, and specialized care units.

Teaching follows a structured, semester-wise plan set out in the Higher Education Commission (HEC) national nursing curriculum, combining classroom instruction, skills-lab simulation, and hands-on clinical rotations in affiliated hospitals.
